Xpertise Recruitment has welcomed another 5 new team members to the London and Derby office. We wanted to find out a little bit more about the new team members and find out why they joined Xpertise Recruitment.

Meet Joe…

What can you tell us about yourself?

Hi, I’m Joe and I’m originally from Leeds but have just moved to the sunny Derbados! I’m a recent graduate from Loughborough University and I’m super excited to be joining the Tech team specialising in software development. When I’m not at work I enjoy socialising and I’m particularly passionate about playing rugby league and going to the gym.

Why did you choose Xpertise and why recruitment?

I wanted to get into recruitment because I naturally enjoy helping people and being rewarded for this professionally seemed like a great opportunity! I chose Xpertise because they really felt like a company that cared both about its employees, clients and candidates so that was something that really resonated with me. 

3 words to sum up your first week?

Great learning opportunity.

If you could only eat one starter, one main and one dessert for the rest of your life, what would they be?

This is a hard one! I think for a starter I’d go for bruschetta, for my main I’d have a goat’s cheese and caramelised onion pizza and for dessert I’d go for a huge ice cream sundae.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

I think for me it would have to be to Australia, I’ve got family out there so it would be great to go out and see them all. I think I’d take the opportunity in Aus to travel around and attend loads of sports events, its always been a dream to go out there and watch the cricket and the rugby.

Meet Josh…

What can you tell us about yourself?

My name is Joshua Williams, born in Derby but live in Duffield as moved recently from Belper where I lived my whole life. I was a Golfer for over 10 years and made it to scratch handicap and played for my county in national tournaments. I am joining the project delivery team for the west midlands and working with Phil. I enjoy going to the gym, golfing, collecting watches, watching podcasts when I can and going to the wine bar, collect wine if I can also! I try to travel alone somewhere new each year if I can.

Why did you choose Xpertise and why recruitment?

I chose Xpertise as the culture seemed the perfect fit for me. How well the team are looked after and the overall feel of the company was the perfect fit for someone like me, there seems to be a great togetherness for everyone here and I really respect that. I wanted to get into recruitment to help people, knowing you have helped someone find their perfect role and helping their career is very fulfilling for someone like me that really likes to help people. I am a huge people person and love networking as much as possible.

Interesting story about yourself?

I once decided to book a flight to Sydney Australia and get my visa all in the space of an hour and flew out spontaneously a couple weeks later, I also went to Venice for a few nights by myself to relax, was an amazing experience.

If you could Travel to any place in the world, where would you go and why?

My next three trips I have in mind are Barcelona, Budapest or Prague but would like to go back to America or Dubai (not been yet)

Meet Harry…

What can you tell us about yourself?

Harry Duddridge, I am born and bred from Cornwall and I have just joined the Data Engineering & Data Science team! I am currently enjoying working out the London life but always been into my sports which are Rugby/Football/Surfing.

Why did you choose Xpertise and why recruitment?

I made the decision to work with Xpertise after my first impression. At Nottingham Trent’s jobsfair the Xpertise team demonstrated the values of the company first-hand, and after having little interest to join recruitment initially the Jobsfair team at Xpertise more than convinced me that this was a company and team that I could make amazing friends/connections, work hard but also enjoy my work life.

- Starter, - Mexican style Cod Taco’s
- Main, a boujee steak burger from a decent pub

Vietnam got a plan to one day motorbike it all.

Meet Georgina…
 

What can you tell us about yourself?

Hi, I’m Georgi! I currently live in Chelmsford, Essex and I grew up in East London/Essex until we moved when I was 10. I went to Loughborough University and studied International Business, and spent my placement year in a recruitment company.

I’m joining the Software Development team in London alongside the fabulous Annie, with my focus on JavaScript roles.

In my spare time I enjoy yoga, walking, working out, listening to podcasts, reading and socialising anywhere I can! (even more now we are allowed again after so long). Is sunbathing a hobby? That’s my ultimate favourite thing to do.

Why did you choose Xpertise and why recruitment?

I really enjoyed my placement year, and loved the fast pace, dynamic nature of recruitment and how you can make your own success. I knew recruitment would be the career path for me when I graduated, I just needed to find the right company. Culture is the most important thing to me and from the first conversation with Dawn I could tell Xpertise was the place I would love to work, ‘no Sunday night feeling’ was mentioned, and that really resonated with me alongside all of Xpertise’s core values. Its really important to enjoy every day at work and it is rare to find a company with so much emphasis on how much they care about candidates, clients and employees!

Favourite film/song and why?

Favourite film(s) are Source Code and Sliding Doors, I love films where you really have to think and include time travel/ parallel universe elements I find it really interesting. Song - I can’t choose 1, it changes all the time! Any song by Whitney Houston or Stevie Wonder though, 80’s music is pretty much all I listening to!

Meet Bethany…

What can you tell us about yourself?

Hi I’m Beth and I’m from Leigh-on-Sea in Essex. I’m joining the Infrastructure and Services team in London. In my spare time I like socialising with friends, going to concerts and chilling out at home.

Why did you choose Xpertise and why recruitment?

I chose Xpertise because of the people and the company culture, I first came across the company at a careers fair at my uni and I was sold! I think I wanted to go into recruitment because I’m competitive and wanted a challenge, but I had also briefly studied recruitment before and thought it would be an interesting area to work in.

If you could only eat one starter, one main and one dessert for the rest of your life, what would they be?

If I could go anywhere in the world I’d want to go to Bora Bora, because it looks so beautiful, peaceful and luxurious. It’s definitely on my bucket list.
