HR Systems Project Manager

 

Rate: £325 - £385

Length: 4 months

Location: South West

 

The organisation is investing in a new solution for the provision of services provided by their Temporary Resources Unit, including a replacement system to manage all of their temporary workers.  The organisation is looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage a dedicated project team to move them from their outline business case phase to a final business case including scoping requirements and tendering procedures to confirm the preferred solution within a 4 month timeline. There is then the likelihood of an extension to this to take the project to full term - successful implementation of the new solution.

 

The initial 4 months will involve scoping the project, working with the internal project management division around governance and procuring a provider for the solution.  Some of the key accountabilities will be:

  • Project management ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality
  • Line management of a dedicated project team
  • Design of appropriate project plans
  • Identification and management of project risks and issues; escalating where necessary
  • Establishment of an appropriate progress reporting schedule and prepares progress reports for senior management and governance boards
  • Establishment of appropriate project governance and supports governance activities.
  • Manage and co-ordinate the preparation of business requirements and functional specifications
  • With support, lead formal tendering processes with liaison with the Procurement Office and Legal Department
  • Application of change management techniques to projects
  • Work with the project team to design and deliver stakeholder maps,  communication plans and associated materials that are appropriate for the project
  • Work with stakeholder to: map current processes and identify key areas of weakness to be addressed, design the future state processes and assess the change impact and create a transition plan

 

We are looking for someone with significant project management experience as well as prior experience and knowledge of implementing HR/ Payroll systems.  Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills as well as the ability to think creatively while adhering to the organisations governance are all essential for success.  You will be working with an experienced team who have in depth knowledge of the temporary resourcing requirements of the organisation.
