Role Overview:

• Competitive Daily Pay Rates: £ 405.00 Umbrella

• Hours: 37 hrs per week

• Location: South East: Andover: Marlborough Lines

• Contract Length: 4 months

• Security Clearance Level Required SC - Security Check

Key tasks and deliverables:

  • Leadership/management of the Programme + Project Delivery and manage the team in order to deliver DEO outputs
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to the DIO Guiding Principles and Provide leadership for the team
  • Develop team members and assist line managers in delivering departmental goals
  • Ensure local compliance with mandatory requirements e.g. health and safety (H&S) training
  • Promote strong working relationships both within the team and with other teams across DIO and MoD
  • Directing project activities and supporting project development
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external resources to achieve the delivery plan for the delegated project or sub-project
  • Manage interfaces identifying risk and resolving conflicts and issues
  • Ensure compliance with processes and the integrity of programme and project data utilising the technology solution
  • Ensure all appropriate governance and management controls are in place and adhered to including H&S and financial and managerial delegations
  • Managing development of stakeholder management and analysis activities for team/function
  • Development and maintenance of engagement with team stakeholders in order to achieve delivery outputs
  • Development of stakeholder messaging in line with DIO Corporate approach
  • Direct delivery in collaboration with users and industry - responsible for project management
  • Direct effective supplier management, stakeholder and end User engagement in the delivery of the project or sub-project to assure that output delivered meets the defined requirement within funding and time parameters and in pursuit of Value for Money
  • Engage with Commercial staff to identify the optimum procurement strategy for construction professional services/ construction works
  • Proactively manage risks to drive optimal delivery for MoD and promptly manage issues to mitigate programme delay and cost escalation
  • Manage delegated budget and resources
  • Responsible for managing project budget and keeping within delegated limits
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate financial management for team that is compliant with MOD police
  • Ensure compliance with all MoD and Statutory Regulations
  • Report against a robust delivery performance management regime instigating corrective actions
