Software Engineering Manager £70-85k + Package:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Manager to join a business based in the East Midlands. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical oversight of agreed solutions and leading the delivery of associated changes through our technology capabilities and working practices.

As a dedicated resource aligned with Software Engineering, you will work closely with the Product Delivery Manager and form a senior member of the Product Team. You will also have a strong alignment with Product Engineering to ensure that we deliver best-in-class capabilities for Software Engineering across all technology deliverables.

You should have proven experience leading a Software Engineering capability team across a dispersed resource model, as well as a track record of driving engineering best practices to improve quality and productivity. In addition, you should be a role model for other engineers, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build and manage partnerships with stakeholders.

You should also have experience building and managing enterprise software on top of Azure cloud and Microsoft endpoint technologies, and have key exposure to DevOps in a Continuous Integration and Continuous Development environment.

Technical skills required for this role include expertise in:

• .NET (C#, ASP.net, MVC, and VB.NET), Web APIs, and integration platforms such as BizTalk, Node JS, and Angular JS. Experience with consuming SaaS platforms or services and architectural awareness is also desired.
• Familiarity with cloud application management via Azure DevOps and Pipelines, as well as exposure to alternate cloud solutions on AWS or Google, is preferred.
• Microservices exposure via Azure Kubernetes (AKS) and Dockerisation, as well as solid experience with CICD platforms such as Azure Pipelines and Jenkins, is a plus.
