We love giving back
We love taking part in charity challenges, and over the years there has been quite a few memorable ones!
Our Managing Director, Richard Harrison, is on the board of the Midlands Byte Night charity which raises much needed funds for Action for Children who provide support for underprivileged children. Money raised from this charity helps to get young people off the streets, into a safe environment and helps them build back their confidence and skills with the aim of getting back into employment.
Xpertise 2022 Charity challenge
Walking for Ukraine!
Following the events in Ukraine, we have launched an emergency appeal. Communities are bearing the brunt of eight long years of conflict. We are very concerned about the recent intensification of fighting in eastern Ukraine over the past few days.
Every day in March, our staff are aiming to average 10,000 steps per day to raise money and awareness for The British Red Cross: Ukraine Crisis Appeal.
The British Red Cross will urgently be providing the following for those that need it:
- Food
- Medicine
- First Aid
- Water
- Shelter
- Warm clothes
This appeal is very urgently needed by refugees and those still in Ukraine during this difficult time. The British Red Cross are an amazing charity that do a lot of great work worldwide, and both them and us are very grateful for your assistance.
In the past we have raised thousands of pounds for various charities by different fundraising methods such as quizzes, walking challenges and bake sales. If you would like to find out more about who we are and what we do, please visit: https://www.xpertise-recruitment.com/about-us
Any donations however big or small will be hugely appreciated!
Thank you for your time and your ongoing support.
What’s the progress?
Our team members have walked 8,776,668 steps throughout March exceeding our target of 8 million steps! What an amazing effort by all of those who took part and going beyond your usual daily routines!

Recruitment is a challenging but fun sales orientated career which involves a lot of headhunting and networking. It tends to suit highly competitive, motivated people. If you are determined, ambitious, love talking (!) and enjoy competing you should love recruitment as a career.
Don’t just take our word for it though!
Annie, Architecture and Engineering Consultant
Most people don’t know anything about it before they start. You’ll often hear people say that they “fell into” recruitment or think it’s all about spending hours on the phone cold calling and hard selling, but it’s so much more than that…
It’s an overused phrase, but no two days are the same (really)! To be good at recruitment you must be able to adapt to every kind of situation and motivate yourself to keep tackling those challenges that come your way. It can be tough like most jobs, but it’s definitely worth it, the rewards are great! The recruitment industry often provides good incentives and a strong social scene, for example at Xpertise Recruitment we have loads of regular social events, quarterly incentive trips to places such as Barcelona, Prague, and even skiing in Morzine, plus a solid commission structure too!
What else do you get through to help you progress?
At Xpertise, we support you from day 1 with developed training programmes and clearly defined career pathways where you can control your career based on your personal results rather than seniority.
If you’re interested in a role in recruitment, but still aren’t quite sure what it’s all about, listen to our consultants about what they do and how they started their journey in recruitment…
What do people say about recruitment? And why do they choose it as a career?
“I got my first taste of recruitment during my placement year at University, when I spent 12 months with an Education recruitment company. Whilst I loved the sales aspect, fast paced nature, and earning potential of the role, I felt that I wanted to be part of an industry with more growth potential and in a business where I could seriously progress my career. Xpertise were able to offer me all of this!”
