DevOps Engineer — Lisbon (Hybrid, 2–3 Days On‑Site) | Up to €44,000
They are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join their growing R&D team in Lisbon. This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to shape and evolve their cloud infrastructure as they move toward a microservices‑oriented architecture. - Hybrid: 2–3 days per week in the office
Salary
- Up to €44,000, depending on experience
Primary Purpose
In this role, you will develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure across Azure and GCP. You will collaborate closely with software developers, a technical lead, and a product owner—contributing both hands-on engineering and input into solution planning and design.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps Engineering
- Build and maintain cloud resources in Azure and GCP using Terraform
- Maintain and improve Kubernetes environments
- Configure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Improve observability across applications
- Uphold security and compliance standards
- Champion DevOps culture within development teams
- Participate in code reviews
Design & Collaboration
- Help define internal DevOps best practices
- Contribute to solution and technical design sessions
- Assist with writing EPICs, user stories, and implementation specifications
Must‑Have Skills & Experience
- Mid to senior‑level experience in a DevOps role
- Strong understanding of system security and performance
- Knowledge of cloud networking architecture
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Professional experience with Terraform (IaC)
- Engineering experience in Azure and GCP
- CI/CD configuration (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Professional level English
Nice‑to‑Haves
- Experience with programming languages: Python, TypeScript, Java, Go
- Database experience (SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
- Data engineering and infrastructure exposure
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks
- Familiarity with compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
- Experience working in international teams
