Agile Nottingham

Leading like you mean it: lessons from Ted Lasso (and real life)

  • Transformation

Most of us have watched Ted Lasso and thought "I want to work somewhere like that." But what actually makes AFC Richmond work isn't Ted. It's the fact that everyone leads, in their own way, from wherever they sit.

This talk uses Ted Lasso as a lens to explore what collective leadership really looks like in practice. We'll look at why great teams stop waiting for one person to have all the answers, what gets in the way, and how you can start building a more Leaderful team, no matter your title.

You don't need to have watched it to get something from this talk. But there will be spoilers.

Our team

Our attendees say

Overall the event was great and a fantastic opportunity to network with people and I also really valued the different topics and speakers.

Chief Technology Officer

10/10 would attend another one of your events, very interesting content and attendees.

Chief Technology Officer

It was good to share experiences on the topic of M&A and Tech leadership in PE backed businesses and learn from others in a similar environment.

Chief Technology Officer

The choice of speakers was also really good. It wasn't a bunch of buzzword spouting people trying to promote their business interests. They were really interesting people, with a range of real world experiences, who were passing on their experience in a relaxed manner.

CTO / Technical Director

It was a great event, engaging and informative, well put together – top scores!
