Social Value Commitment Statement

Xpertise Recruitment Ltd ("Xpertise") is a specialist technology, data and transformation recruitment consultancy, established in 2012 and operating from offices in Derby, London and Manchester. We work across the public and private sectors, including social care, healthcare, disability charities and the NHS, and we recognise that the way we deliver our services has a direct effect on the people, organisations and communities we work with. Social value is built into our day-to-day operations and governance, and we are committed to developing this further in line with the UK Government's Social Value Model as we grow our public sector partnerships.

On equal opportunity and fair recruitment, our Equality and Diversity Policy commits us to treating every candidate, worker and client contact equally regardless of sex, disability, age, race, religion or belief, and to refusing any client instruction that would require unlawful discrimination. In practice, this is supported by gender-decoded job advertisements, blind CV screening techniques, unconscious bias awareness training for consultants, and objective, competency-based assessment frameworks, so that candidate selection is based on skills and experience alone.

We hold Investors in People Platinum Accreditation, one of the highest available standards for people management, and our approach to inclusive hiring has contributed to industry recognition including “Best Tech Recruitment Agency of the Year 2024” at the Recruiter Awards and “Best Client Service Award 2026” at the Global Recruiter Awards. Our policy also sets out specific protections for disabled candidates and staff, including a duty to make reasonable adjustments, and confirms that part-time employees are treated on equivalent terms to full-time colleagues.

On skills development and community engagement, we run and sponsor free technology community events under our 'elevate' brand , over 66 in the past year alone, including regional meetups, Women in Technology conferences, and vertical-specific roundtables covering areas such as QA & Testing, Data Science, Cloud/DevOps and Cyber Security. These are designed as learning and networking platforms for the wider technology community, not recruitment pitches, and have included sessions on topics such as cognitive diversity in teams and sustainable technology. We also provide clients with market intelligence, salary benchmarking and talent mapping to support their own workforce planning.

On environmental responsibility, our Environmental Policy commits us to minimising consumption of natural resources, reducing our carbon footprint, utilising energy from renewable sources where practical, and reducing and recycling waste. We encourage environmentally friendly means of transport and support car-sharing, use of public transport, cycling and working from home where practicable, and we review our office energy use, insulation and travel arrangements as part of this commitment.

We hold Cyber Essentials certification, and our offices in London and Manchester operate through serviced providers whose infrastructure meets Cyber Essentials Basic requirements.

On governance and ethical conduct, Xpertise operates a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, published in our Modern Slavery Statement under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, supported by right-to-work checks on every candidate we place, a whistleblowing policy, and due diligence on all clients before we engage with them.

Our Anti-Bribery Policy sets out clear rules on gifts, hospitality and conflicts of interest, and our Quality Policy commits us to independently reviewed compliance, active membership of TEAM (the UK recruitment and employment body), and operating in line with the principles of ISO 9001.

Our IT and Data Security Policy governs how we handle candidate and client data under UK GDPR, including strict access controls, encryption and secure disposal of records.

Xpertise recognises that social value is not static. We are committed to continuing to measure and report on these commitments, to engaging with our staff, clients and candidates to identify where we can do more, and to formalising and scaling our social value activity through the contracts we deliver , ensuring that our impact is consistent, evidenced, and tailored to the needs of the organisations and communities we serve.
