Backend Developer (Node.js / TypeScript)
Cheshire East (3 days onsite)
Up to £60,000 + bonus + benefits

We’re working with a growing global technology business, currently expanding their engineering team as they continue to scale a high-traffic SaaS platform used across multiple markets.

This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative backend team building modern, cloud-based systems with a strong focus on scalability, performance and continuous improvement.

The Role

You’ll be working on a large-scale platform made up of microservices, contributing to the design, development and ongoing operation of backend services. The role offers a good balance of hands-on development and exposure to modern engineering practices within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
• Contribute to the design of scalable, cloud-based architectures
• Develop and integrate APIs across internal and third-party systems
• Work closely with other engineers to deliver features in an Agile environment
• Support and improve existing systems, ensuring reliability and performance

Tech Environment:

• Node.js, TypeScript
• AWS (Lambda, ECS, S3, etc.)
• Docker, Terraform
• CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
• PostgreSQL / MySQL

What They’re Looking For:

• Commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Understanding of backend development and API design
• Experience working within Agile teams
• A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of your work
• Strong problem-solving skills and a team-first mindset
