Java Developer | Midlands (1x a month onsite) | £60k-£70k
Xpertise are working with a growing tech-driven organisation investing heavily in modern backend engineering and scalable systems. They’re looking for a Java Developer to join their collaborative engineering team.
This is a great opportunity to work on greenfield and evolving systems, building high-performance APIs in a modern, agile environment.
What you’ll be doing:
Building scalable backend services using Java & Spring Boot
Developing RESTful APIs and integrations
Working in a microservices architecture
Applying Test Driven Development (TDD) practices
Collaborating closely with Dev, QA and DevOps in an agile team
What they’re looking for:
Strong Java experience (Java 17+)
Solid Spring Boot knowledge
Experience with Kafka or event-driven systems
Understanding of clean code, SOLID principles & design patterns
Experience with Docker & modern dev environments
Nice to have:
Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD, React exposure, databases, or API tooling.
