Lead Software Developer - d365, CRM, CE

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Dynamics 365 CE Engineer / Technical Lead to join a forward-thinking organisation delivering impactful, enterprise-scale solutions.

This is a key role combining hands-on engineering, technical leadership, and team management, ideal for someone passionate about building high-quality Dynamics platforms.

Working in a fully remote environment, you’ll play a central role in shaping Dynamics 365 CE solutions, guiding engineers, and ensuring delivery excellence across a range of exciting programmes.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Design, customise and extend Dynamics 365 CE / Dataverse solutions
• Develop and review C#/.NET plugins and custom workflow activities
• Provide technical leadership and direction to developers and data engineers
• Manage and oversee Dynamics solutions across environments (managed & unmanaged)
• Ensure code quality through reviews, governance, and engineering standards
• Identify and escalate technical risks, constraints, and platform limitations
• Support and guide teams on integration patterns and data interactions
• Line manage engineers, including performance management, mentoring, and feedback
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and third parties
• Contribute to delivery within Agile teams using Azure DevOps

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 CE / Dataverse customisation and extensibility
• Deep understanding of the Dynamics 365 CE product roadmap and deprecation cycles
• Proven expertise in C#/.NET development within Dynamics environments
• Experience managing solution lifecycles across multiple environments
• Ability to review and assure technical designs and code quality
• Strong understanding of integration patterns and data interactions
• Demonstrated experience leading and line managing engineers
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience working in Agile environments with Azure DevOps
• Integration with data platforms using SSIS or Azure Data Factory
• Experience with Azure services such as:
  • Azure Functions
  • Service Bus
  • Application Insights
