Data Risk & Governance Analyst – Asset Management London | Hybrid (3 days/week in office) Up to £107,000 + Bonus + Pension + Benefits
A leading asset management organisation is seeking a Data Risk & Governance Analyst to help strengthen its data governance capabilities and support the development of a robust data management framework. This is a strategic role focused on enabling the business to mature its data practices and deliver consistent, high-quality data across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement a comprehensive data management framework covering ownership, quality, usage, and records management

Enhance data governance practices and support business-as-usual activities

Collaborate with Audit, Risk, IT, and business teams to embed data roles and responsibilities

Support Data Risk Assessments and contribute to the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process

Maintain strong relationships with internal audit and ensure timely completion of data-related audit actions
✅ What You’ll Bring:

Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, standards, and controls

Experience writing and implementing data governance policies and processes
-
Proven ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups, including technical and non-technical teams

Excellent communication skills to articulate data concepts to varied audiences

Experience working in a BAU data governance environment

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence
-
Ability to run workshops, manage complex queries, and drive stakeholder engagement
Desirable Skills:

Experience in data risk and control frameworks
-
Data analysis capabilities (macros, scripts, queries) to assess data quality

Knowledge of data privacy principles and their impact on governance

Commercial awareness and strategic mindset

Passion for data and its role in delivering business value

Resilience and adaptability in fast-paced environments
