Overview

A leading FTSE250 organisation is investing heavily in its next‑generation technology strategy and is seeking a highly experienced AI Architect. You will define and drive enterprise AI architecture across the business, shaping standards, frameworks and scalable AI platforms that unlock measurable value.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, engineering, data and governance.

Key Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Enterprise Architecture

• Define and evolve the enterprise‑wide AI architecture and roadmap
• Establish standards, patterns and reusable frameworks for AI/ML and generative AI
• Ensure alignment with cloud, data and enterprise architecture strategies

AI Platforms & Technical Enablement

• Architect scalable AI platforms leveraging cloud‑native services
• Guide selection and integration of AI tools, models and services
• Ensure solutions are secure, cost‑efficient and scalable across hybrid/multi‑cloud

Responsible AI & Governance

• Define governance frameworks for model lifecycle management
• Ensure fairness, transparency, explainability and compliance across solutions
• Partner with security, legal and compliance teams

Innovation & Delivery

• Support PoCs, experimentation and AI innovation across business units
• Drive successful AI initiatives into enterprise‑grade production
• Communicate complex AI concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences

Essential Skills & Experience

• 5+ years AI/ML architecture experience in enterprise environments
• Expertise in cloud AI ecosystems (Azure / AWS / GCP)
• Strong understanding of LLMs, NLP, vector databases, RAG architectures
• Skilled in AI frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face
• Knowledge of MLOps/ModelOps, CI/CD, orchestration tools (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Strong stakeholder communication and architectural leadership
