Enterprise Architect (Lead / Principal) – Sales & Customer Technology

Location: Manchester / London (Hybrid – travel required)
Rate: £800 – £850 per day (Outside IR35)

We’re supporting an organisation going through a period of technology and commercial evolution, where there is a clear need to bring structure, alignment and architectural direction across a complex, sales-led technology estate.

This role has been created to introduce a more defined Enterprise Architecture capability, with an immediate focus on establishing a lean, pragmatic framework that enables delivery rather than slowing it down.

This is not a Head of Architecture role. It is a hands-on, delivery-focused position for someone who can come in, get clarity quickly and put the right level of structure in place.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across business and technology, shaping how customer, sales and revenue-generating platforms evolve over the next phase of growth.

What you’ll be doing

• Taking ownership of architecture across CRM, billing, invoicing and customer lifecycle platforms
• Working across a live Dynamics 365 CE programme, ensuring alignment to wider business objectives
• Rapidly mapping the current estate and defining a clear, deliverable future state
• Establishing integration patterns across APIs, middleware and data flows
• Introducing a lean, MVP-style EA approach – just enough governance to support delivery
• Supporting delivery teams with clear direction rather than heavy process
• Engaging stakeholders to balance short-term delivery needs with longer-term structure

What we’re looking for

• Experience operating at Lead / Principal Enterprise Architect level within complex environments
• Background across sales-led or customer-centric technology landscapes
• Strong experience with CRM platforms (Dynamics 365, Salesforce or similar)
• Solid understanding of integration architecture and data flows
• Cloud experience across Azure, AWS or similar
• Comfortable working in environments where structure needs to be introduced rather than inherited
• Preference for hands-on involvement vs purely strategic oversight
