We're looking for three experienced Azure Platform Engineering Consultants to support a major cloud platform transformation programme, delivering enterprise-scale Azure infrastructure and platform engineering capabilities. Kubernetes expertise is essential for this engagement. 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise Azure platform capabilities. 
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Terragrunt. 
• Build and support Kubernetes-based platform services and containerised workloads.
• Create reusable Azure platform templates and engineering standards. 
• Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Embed observability, monitoring, resilience and security best practices into platform components.
• Support cloud cost optimisation and FinOps initiatives. 
• Contribute to sprint planning, refinement, reviews and technical demonstrations. 
• Coach and collaborate with engineering teams through knowledge sharing and best practice adoption.

Essential Skills

• Strong Azure Platform Engineering experience. 
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes (AKS) experience is essential.
• Extensive experience with:
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Kubernetes / AKS
  • Terraform
  • Terragrunt
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • DevOps and DevSecOps practices

   

• Experience with Azure networking, security, identity and governance. 
• Strong understanding of monitoring, observability and platform reliability. 
• Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimisation principles. 
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 

Desirable

• Experience building reusable platform frameworks or "golden paths". 
• Experience within large-scale enterprise cloud environments.
• Consultancy or professional services experience.
• Strong coaching and knowledge transfer capabilities.

Role: Azure Platform Engineering Consultant

Rate: £400-£520 per day

IR35: Outside IR35

Duration: 6-9 Months Initial Contract

Location: Fully Remote (Barcelona) or UK/Germany with 1-2 onsite visits per month
