Contract Opportunity: Data Migration & Reporting Lead

Day Rate: £500-£600 (outside IR35)
Location: East Midlands (hybrid)

We’re looking for an experienced Data Migration & Reporting Lead to spearhead a critical workstream within a major technology transformation programme for a leading  business. This role will ensure a seamless migration from legacy systems to a new reservations platform while maintaining data integrity and reporting continuity.

What You’ll Do

• Own the data migration strategy and reporting assurance for a core booking platform replacement.
• Lead the full data migration lifecycle: cleansing, mapping, ETL, and validation.
• Define and implement pragmatic measures to maintain reporting continuity during migration.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to align data models and reuse data assets.
• Provide anonymized data subsets for testing and training environments.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure compliance with data security standards.

What We’re Looking For

✅ Proven experience leading large-scale data migration projects
✅ Expertise with ETL & reporting tools (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SSIS, Power BI)
✅ Strong understanding of data structures, mapping, and reconciliation
✅ Ability to manage dependencies across complex programmes
✅ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
