Role: SAP Solution Architect
Location: Nottingham (2 days per week on-site)
Contract: Initial 3 months
Rate: 550 - 650 per day (Inside IR35)

We are recruiting an experienced SAP Solution Architect to provide end‑to‑end architectural oversight across HR/Payroll, Procurement, Finance, and Reporting workstreams. This role acts as the design authority, ensuring that all solutions are fully integrated, secure, and aligned to programme objectives and SAP best practice.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture and Design
• Own the solution architecture across HR/Payroll, Procurement, Finance, and Reporting
• Ensure cross‑workstream consistency and alignment to target architecture
• Review and approve solution designs and deviations
• Ensure adherence to SAP Best Practice, fit‑to‑standard, and public cloud principles

Cross‑Workstream Integration
• Define and govern integration patterns across HR/Payroll, S/4HANA Finance, Procurement, and Reporting
• Oversee master data flows, transactional processes, and reporting outputs
• Work closely with Technical, Integration, Data, Security, and Infrastructure teams

Stakeholder Engagement
• Work with programme leadership, SMEs, and workstream leads
• Communicate design decisions, impacts, risks, and trade‑offs
• Support governance forums and design boards

Reporting and Analytics Architecture
• Define the reporting strategy, including operational, statutory, and management reporting
• Oversee integration with SAP and non‑SAP analytics tools

Governance, Risk, and Quality
• Manage architectural risks, dependencies, and technical debt
• Ensure non‑functional requirements are met
• Support audit and compliance, ensuring documentation is maintained

Essential Skills

• Extensive SAP Solution Architect experience on multi‑workstream programmes
• Strong cross‑domain knowledge: Finance, Procurement, HR/Payroll, Reporting
• Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA (Public Cloud and/or Hybrid)
• Strong integration architecture experience (APIs, middleware, event‑based)
• Experience with SAP Activate and SAP Cloud ALM
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
