Salary: £70,000 - 80,000 per anum
Hybrid | 5 office locations: East Midlands, South Midlands, Northamponshire
A major UK housing association is undertaking a significant transformation of its enterprise data estate. They are seeking a Data Manager who can provide hands-on leadership across Data Platform, Data Products, and Data Governance, with a strong architectural mindset and a clear focus on execution.
This role requires someone who can move work from intent to delivery: creating clarity, unblocking teams, enforcing standards, and ensuring high-quality, trusted data assets are consistently delivered.
If you are currently a Data Manager, Data Architect, or Data Engineering Lead ready to step into an enterprise-wide leadership role, this is an exceptional opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
The Role
• Own end‑to‑end delivery across platform, products and governance
• Drive standards, clarity and momentum across multi-disciplinary teams
• Deliver certified data products and a stable semantic layer
• Embed governance, quality rules and audit readiness into delivery
• Work closely with BI, IT and Transformation to enable meaningful data outcomes
• Lead and develop teams across engineering, modelling and governance
Experience Required
• Leading data engineering/modelling/governance teams
• Delivering modern data platforms and semantic layers
• Managing delivery in fast‑paced, complex environments
• Turning business requirements into structured, deliverable data outputs
Desirable
• Legacy estate modernisation
• Regulated or audit-heavy environments
• Azure / Databricks exposure

Delivery-focused, pragmatic and technically credible, with the ability to create structure in ambiguity and drive tangible outcomes.
