Director – Consulting AI Strategy & Value Creation
London | Hybrid | Highly competitive base + bonus

I’m working with the AI practice of a leading strategy consultancy on a Director hire. The practice is growing quickly and has headcount approved to build out its leadership team.

It brings together three areas: AI and technology strategy, applied AI and advanced analytics, and new ventures and innovation. The model works because it puts strong strategy consultants alongside deeply technical people. Directors are the ones who make that combination land with clients.

What you’d actually be doing:

• Advising C-suite on where to invest in AI and technology, and building the value case behind it
• Shaping and leading programmes that take clients from AI strategy to delivered outcomes, not decks that sit on a shelf
• Leading blended teams of consultants, data scientists and engineers, and developing the people in them
• Owning client relationships and growing a portfolio of work alongside the partner group
• Helping shape the practice itself: its propositions, its hiring and where the offering goes next

Who tends to fit:
You’re probably a Director, Associate Director or senior Senior Manager in strategy or technology consulting today, whether at MBB, a Big Four firm or a specialist. You’ve advised senior clients on technology or AI investment, and you’re as credible with a CFO as you are with an engineering team. Fungibility across sectors is a plus. A real mix of commercial strategy and technical fluency matters more than any single skill on a checklist.

Motivation matters as much as experience here. This is a practice being built, not an auction for AI talent, and they’re looking for people who want to help shape it.
