Lead Java Developer | Hybrid (1x a month) | Up to £75k + Bonus (10%)
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of backend engineers
- Taking ownership of technical standards and engineering best practice
- Contributing to architectural discussions and long‑term technical strategy
- Designing and delivering scalable backend services and distributed systems
- Ensuring quality, performance, and reliability across key services
Core Skills Required:
- Java (strong commercial experience)
- Spring Boot / Spring Framework
- Microservices & distributed systems
- Kubernetes
- Team leadership & mentoring
- Strong analytical / problem‑solving skills
Nice to Have:
- Azure DevOps
- Automated Testing / modern test tooling
