We're working on one of the most exciting digital leadership briefs in the market right now.

Xpertise Search has been retained to find a Director of Digital Platform Delivery for a globally recognised consumer brand — someone to own end-to-end delivery of a major website and native mobile app used by tens of millions of customers.

This is not a product role. This is not a programme manager role. This is a serious delivery leadership appointment for someone who has run large-scale digital platforms and wants to make a real mark on a household name's digital future.

️ The scale of the challenge:

→ ~500 people currently on programme (moving to a leaner 250–300)

→ 25+ Agile delivery squads plus SRE and supporting functions

→ Predominantly outsourced engineering with permanent specialist teams

→ Complex offshore vendor ecosystem to lead and optimise

✅ You'll need to bring:

→ Experience running high-traffic B2C digital platforms — retail, ecommerce or consumer tech 

→ Deep Agile fluency — SAFe, continuous delivery, automation pipelines, release governance

→ Engineering credibility — code quality, tooling, regression practices. You're not a spectator

→ Leadership at scale — 200–300 person organisations, offshore vendors, Exec-level presence

→ A transformation mindset — you want to raise the bar, not maintain the status quo
