The Opportunity
We are looking for a Client Test Lead to take ownership of testing for high‑profile client implementations within a growing financial technology environment. This is a highly client‑facing role, ideal for someone who combines strong hands‑on testing capability with excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with external stakeholders.
You will join a small, collaborative QA function with clear plans to grow, giving you the opportunity to influence ways of working, shape standards and play a visible role in the evolution of the team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the end‑to‑end test effort for client implementations across functional and non‑functional testing
- Acting as the primary testing point of contact for clients, running regular test syncs and providing clear, professional test reporting
- Writing and executing test plans, test cases and acceptance criteria aligned to client business requirements
- Building and maintaining low‑code / no‑code automated end‑to‑end tests, with light JavaScript annotation where required
- Hands‑on manual testing across web and device environments
- Managing defects end‑to‑end and working closely with delivery leads, developers and configurators
- Supporting client release activities including smoke, regression and release readiness testing
- Collaborating day‑to‑day with a distributed delivery team, ensuring alignment despite geography and time zones
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience in a combined manual and automated testing role
- Strong client‑facing experience, with the ability to communicate complex testing topics clearly and confidently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including formal client test reporting
- Hands‑on experience with modern test automation frameworks such as Cypress and/or Playwright
- Experience using low‑code / no‑code automation tools (e.g. Testim or similar); working knowledge of JavaScript
- Solid understanding of web technologies, browser DevTools and modern application architectures
- Proven ability to work effectively with remote and distributed teams
- Comfortable operating as the senior QA presence within a small but growing team
Desirable Experience (Highly Valued)
- Experience within financial advice, wealth management or digital advice platforms
- Broader financial services experience (banking, insurance, fintech, regulatory platforms)
- Exposure to accessibility testing and/or performance testing
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
Why Join?
- A highly visible role working directly with clients
- Opportunity to influence and grow a QA function
- Hybrid working with a London hub (3 days per week in the office)
- Competitive salary up to £85,000 plus 7% pension
- A collaborative, delivery‑focused culture with clear growth ambitions
