Cognos Developer - Derby (Hybrid) - Engineering

We’re looking for experienced Cognos Developers to join a major transformation programme within a leading engineering organisation. This is a permanent opportunity where you’ll be part of a central performance team that supports business units across the organisation, helping them standardise reporting and move away from Excel and Power BI.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing, developing, and maintaining Cognos reports, dashboards, and solutions that meet business requirements

• Working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications

• Promoting best practice in reporting, governance, and data usage across the organisation

• Supporting a culture of continuous improvement within the performance team

What we’re looking for

• Strong Cognos development experience, including report design and dashboard creation

• Excellent SQL skills with a solid understanding of data structures and modelling

• Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions

• Ideally SC cleared (or eligible for clearance)

• Experience in engineering or manufacturing environments would be a real advantage
