Senior Data Consultant (Contract)
Contract: 3-month initial contract
Location: Hybrid - London (3 days on site)
Rate: £500 - £550pd
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

The Opportunity

We're supporting a FTSE 100 at a critical stage in their data journey, looking to bring in a Senior Data Consultant to take ownership of a complex and fragmented data estate.

This is a high-impact contract for someone who thrives in ambiguity - the kind of consultant who can step into a messy environment, quickly diagnose issues, and begin bringing structure, clarity, and direction from day one.

You won't just be analysing data - you'll be shaping the foundation of how data is used across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

Taking control of a disjointed and evolving data ecosystem, identifying gaps and inefficiencies
Cleaning, transforming, and structuring data to enable reliable analysis and reporting
Designing and delivering insightful dashboards and visualisations
Introducing best practices across data processes, pipelines, and governance
Applying advanced analytics and, where appropriate, machine learning techniques
Acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, translating data challenges into actionable solutions
Laying the groundwork for a scalable, future-proof data environment

What We're Looking For

Strong core data expertise:Proven experience stabilising or improving messy / immature data environments
- Advanced SQL
- Data wrangling and transformation
- Dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar
Ability to operate autonomously and consultatively in fast-moving settings
Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence non-technical stakeholders
A pragmatic mindset - able to balance quick wins with longer-term vision
