Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformation processes
- Develop reusable, governed data products for analytics and AI teams
- Translate complex business requirements into robust data models and datasets
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data products from creation through optimisation
- Implement and monitor data quality, validation, and governance standards
- Manage metadata, data lineage, data contracts, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data usage, dependencies, and business impact
- Ensure data products meet performance, reliability, and SLA expectations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer or in a similar data engineering role
- Strong expertise in designing and developing data pipelines
- Solid understanding of data modelling principles and best practices
- Experience implementing data governance and data quality frameworks
- Ability to create analytics-ready and AI-ready datasets
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Desirable Experience
- Experience supporting AI and advanced analytics initiatives
- Knowledge of metadata management and data lineage processes
- Exposure to data product methodologies and lifecycle management
- Experience working within complex, enterprise-scale data environments
Location, Salary & Working Pattern
Nottingham, United Kingdom | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract | From £55,000 dependent on experience | Flexible working opportunities available
