Overview:
A leading organisation is preparing to hire a permanent Head of PMO / Portfolio Director to lead strategic improvements across its Technology Change portfolio. This role will focus on enhancing visibility, standardising reporting, refining delivery frameworks, and implementing scalable capacity planning.
This is a potential upcoming opportunity, with mobilisation expected within the next 4 weeks.
Key Objectives
- Portfolio Reporting & Dashboards: Define and implement standardised reporting metrics, templates, and automated dashboards using Power BI.
- Tooling & Delivery Frameworks: Evaluate and optimise delivery methodologies, processes, and tooling to support scalable, compliant change.
- Capacity Planning: Design a flexible, scalable approach to resource planning across the technology change function.
Responsibilities:
Reporting & Dashboard Management
- Define KPIs for portfolio health, risks, issues, and financials in collaboration with senior stakeholders (CIO, Global Head of Tech Change).
- Standardise reporting templates for SteerCo/IPR and automate dashboards.
- Establish reporting cadence and distribution processes.
Tooling & Process Optimisation
- Review and refine delivery methodologies and frameworks.
- Lead tooling enablement to support change delivery.
- Document best practices and facilitate retrospectives for continuous improvement.
Capacity Planning
- Develop a scalable approach to capacity planning.
- Improve responsiveness to variable demand across the change portfolio.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in senior PMO or Portfolio leadership roles within Technology Change.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including C-suite.
- Expertise in reporting automation (Power BI), governance, and delivery frameworks.
- Comfortable operating in remote environments with distributed teams.
Package & Location
Salary: £100,000 – £120,000 base + benefits
Location: Remote (UK-based) – occasional travel to Midlands may be required
