Business Relationship Manager (IT)

Salary: £60,000-£70,000 + benefits
Location: Leeds (Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite)

We are recruiting a Business Relationship Manager (IT) for a large, multi-site organisation undergoing ongoing technology and business change. This Business Relationship Manager role is focused on partnering with senior stakeholders to shape demand, prioritise initiatives, and ensure technology investment supports business performance.

Why this role exists

The Business Relationship Manager will act as a key interface between business teams and IT, ensuring that demand is clearly defined, prioritised, and delivered effectively. You will play a central role in aligning technology activity with business goals and supporting the successful rollout of change initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business units to understand objectives and identify opportunities for technology improvement
• Shape and manage incoming demand, ensuring priorities are aligned to business value
• Translate business needs into structured requirements for delivery teams
• Support the development of business cases and track initiative outcomes
• Work closely with delivery teams to ensure solutions meet business expectations
• Support change activities to drive adoption of new tools and processes
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders on progress and priorities
• Contribute to planning cycles and ongoing alignment between business and IT

Required Skills

• Experience in a Business Relationship Manager, IT Business Partner, Technology Consultant or similar role
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with senior decision makers
• Experience supporting technology driven change or transformation initiatives
• Ability to manage competing priorities and make pragmatic decisions
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Broad understanding of IT delivery and how technology supports business operations
• Experience working within a professional services environment
  

Nice to Have

• Experience in a complex or multi site organisation
• Exposure to structured change or transformation environments
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g. BRM-related or change-focused)
