About the Role
Working within a Technology and Transformation function, this role offers the opportunity to support the delivery of a multi‑stream change programme spanning processes, people, technology, and data.
As a Junior Delivery Manager, you will support the delivery of cross functional change initiatives, working alongside senior delivery professionals, sponsors, and stakeholders. You will gain hands on exposure to a variety of projects, contributing to planning, coordination, and delivery activities across multiple workstreams.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their delivery career who is eager to learn, motivated to take ownership, and keen to build strong stakeholder relationships in a fast paced, growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of end‑to‑end business change and technology initiatives using agile and hybrid delivery approaches.
- Assist in coordinating multiple streams of work, including software development, data, operational change, and organisational change.
- Work with Senior Delivery Managers to apply appropriate delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, depending on project needs.
- Engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business to support delivery progress and manage expectations.
- Contribute to assessing the operational, process, and people impacts of proposed changes.
- Support the creation and maintenance of delivery plans, ensuring activities are resourced, tracked, and managed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Help identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating where appropriate.
- Support governance processes and reporting, adapting frameworks to suit a fast moving, evolving environment.
- Act as an organised and collaborative team member who takes responsibility for assigned tasks and follows through on commitments.
- Proactively seek feedback and demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop delivery skills.
Experience and Skills
Experience
- Experience supporting change or technology delivery initiatives, ideally involving process and system improvements.
- Exposure to working with third party suppliers or external partners.
- Understanding of technology enabled change and awareness of common IT systems and delivery concepts.
- Experience working on multiple workstreams, projects, or tasks concurrently.
- Exposure to stakeholder engagement across different levels of an organisation.
- Experience working within a growing organisation or fast paced environment would be beneficial.
- Experience in regulated industries is advantageous but not essential.
Skills
- A proactive self starter who can organise and prioritise work with support and guidance.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
- Willingness to take ownership of issues rather than simply passing them on.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Analytical mindset, able to step back and understand problems before proposing next steps.
- Competent using tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and delivery management tools such as Jira.
- Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent relevant experience.
