Head of Data (Hybrid / On-prem to Cloud)

Location: North Yorkshire
Reports to: CIO

We’re hiring a hands on data leader to take ownership of an established platform and push it forward. This is for someone who enjoys being in the detail and speaking to the most senior people in a business. 

Day to day:
• Building and shaping data pipelines, models, and reporting
• Reviewing work and solving complex data problems
• Owning delivery from idea through to production
• Supporting high impact analysis when needed

What you’ll drive:
• A clear, practical data roadmap
• Delivery of key use cases with real outcomes
• Strong data quality and governance
• Scalable architecture and clean data models
• A reliable reporting layer and single source of truth

Team:
• Leading a small data team
• Setting standards across engineering and reporting
• Coaching while staying hands on

Stakeholders:
• Turning business problems into data solutions
• Working closely with senior leaders
• Keeping things clear and commercial

What they want:
• Experience leading data, BI, or analytics teams
• Strong technical skills across SQL, Power BI, Python, and modern platforms
• Solid data modelling and architecture knowledge
• Experience with governance and data quality
• Comfortable as a player/coach
