Lead DevOps Engineer - Active SC Clearance
CLEARANCE: Candidates must hold active and transferable SC clearance granted within the last five years.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to join a highly secure government programme, delivering modern and innovative technical solutions within a complex environment.
This is a senior position requiring someone with at least seven years' DevOps experience who can lead technical delivery, support and mentor junior engineers, and solve challenging problems using modern cloud, automation and containerisation technologies.
Key requirements
- At least seven years' DevOps experience
- Experience leading DevOps teams and mentoring junior engineers
- Strong experience across AWS, Azure or GCP
- Experience designing, building and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Strong knowledge of Jenkins, Git, Bamboo or equivalent cloud-native tooling
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Scripting experience using Python, Bash or PowerShell
- Experience producing technical designs and documentation
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
- A genuine interest in emerging technologies and innovation
Desirable experience
- Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles
- Experience with security protocols including PKI and TLS
- Previous experience delivering solutions within secure government environments
