Neil Walker has spent 30 years recovering stalled transformation initiatives. Worked across organisations, from Barclays and Bank of England to UBS and UK Government. One of his core discoveries: most failures stem from diagnostic errors, not execution problems.
He developed the CIRCA-CLEAR meta-framework through 200+ implementations to address the gap between sensing something’s wrong and knowing what to do about it.
He joined NatWest’s first “Agile” team a decade before Agile had a name, helped transform a global services firm in the mid-2000s, applied it to revitalise a social care service, co-founded the Business Agility Institute UK, and recently published Thriving in Turbulence: The Misdiagnosis Stalling Your Transformation.
Still misdiagnoses regularly. Considers it a feature.
