 Job Title: Strategic Transformation Officer - Insurance (Outside IR35)

Location: London / Hybrid

Contract: 6 Months, 3 Days per Week

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

A leading insurance organisation is seeking a Strategic Transformation Officer to help define the next phase of a major data and cloud transformation. A high-level strategy has been developed, but now requires deeper definition-particularly around the technology Target Operating Model (TOM) and practical implementation planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shape and define a data-led implementation roadmap based on the existing high-level cloud strategy
• Lead the design of the technology Target Operating Model (TOM) to support a cloud-native, data-driven business
• Review and rationalise a proposed transformation budget (currently in the hundreds of millions) to ensure efficient delivery
• Provide strategic leadership with potential to transition into a delivery oversight role
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders, technology, and delivery teams to ensure alignment and execution readiness

Ideal Candidate:

• Senior leader with a track record in delivering cloud and data strategy transformations
• Ideally experience working as a Architect (Data focussed)
• Experience working as a Programme Director, Transformation Director etc
• Deep understanding of technology operating models and enterprise data architecture
• Strong background in the insurance sectoror experience in broader financial services 
• Experienced in evaluating and optimising large-scale programme budgets
• Comfortable operating at both strategic and execution levels
