Senior Service Designer - AI Transformation Programme

Contract | Long-Term Pipeline | Competitive Rates | X1 per week in London (MAX) | Inside IR35

Xpertise Recruitment are supporting a major UK organisation delivering a large-scale AI transformation programme. We are seeking an experienced Senior Service Designer to shape and optimise end-to-end service experiences across people, processes, technology, data and governance.

About the Programme

The organisation is building a unified enterprise?wide AI capability. This includes:

- A single entry point for all LLMs

- An AI gateway

- A consistent AI experience from sandbox to production

You will play a key role in defining future-state services and developing the frameworks needed to validate, pilot, operationalise and scale AI-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and map end-to-end services across multiple channels and touchpoints

- Lead user research and translate insight into actionable service improvements

- Apply service blueprints, journey mapping and systems thinking methodologies

- Facilitate workshops, co?design sessions and cross?functional collaboration

- Use data and metrics to iterate and optimise services

- Ensure alignment with organisational standards, accessibility and best practice

- Contribute to governance, frameworks and service design capability development

Skills & Experience Required

- Strong background in service design within complex environments

- Expertise in service blueprints, systems thinking and end?to?end service modelling

- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods

- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG)

- Comfortable working in agile and iterative delivery environments

- Able to communicate complex service concepts visually and verbally
