Programme Manager (Technology Transformation)

Location: Manchester or Leeds (Hybrid) | Rate: £750-£800 per day | 6 Months | IR35: Outside IR35

Xpertise have an urgent requirement for a Programme Manager (Technology Transformation) to lead a large-scale technology and Agile transformation programme. This is a high-profile opportunity to drive programme governance, delivery oversight and strategic change across a complex enterprise environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in delivering large-scale technology transformation initiatives, with particular expertise in Agile and SAFe delivery frameworks. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, delivery teams and third-party suppliers to ensure successful programme outcomes across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain programme-level plans, roadmaps, governance frameworks and reporting
• Coordinate delivery across multiple projects and workstreams, managing dependencies and critical milestones
• Own programme governance, ensuring alignment to agreed scope, timelines, priorities and funding approvals
• Manage programme budgets, forecasts and financial performance
• Provide consolidated reporting across programme status, risks, issues, costs and benefits realisation
• Lead steering committees, governance forums and senior stakeholder engagement activities
• Drive Agile and SAFe transformation initiatives across multiple teams and functions
• Promote continuous improvement, delivery assurance and best practice across the programme

Requirements

• Proven experience leading or coordinating complex IT or business change programmes
• Proven experience implementing, leading and managing large-scale Agile programmes and SAFe transformation programmes
• Proven experience of programme-level governance, planning and delivery controls
• Proven experience delivering at scale across functional and technical environments
• Proven experience working within a consultancy environment whilst engaging senior stakeholders and third-party suppliers
• Agile Certified and/or SAFe Certified
• Strong financial management, risk management and stakeholder engagement experience

Desirable Experience

• MSP, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent programme management qualification
• Experience delivering enterprise-wide technology transformation programmes
• Experience operating within product-led delivery organisations
• Experience managing complex business and technology change initiatives
