Overview
A fast-growing challenger bank transitioning from a successful FX trading business is seeking a Senior Technology Delivery Manager to help deliver the next stage of its transformation. This role will drive the build-out of core banking capabilities, integrating new systems across lending, cards, deposits, and supporting functions.
Reporting to the CTO, you'll be responsible for delivering technology across all operational areas as the company evolves into a full-service retail bank. The environment is entrepreneurial and fast-paced, requiring someone who can bring structure, discipline, and delivery focus to a low-base, rapidly scaling business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end delivery of banking technology platforms across FX, Loans, Credit Cards, and Deposits.
Manage multiple technology and data integration workstreams, including CRM, KYC/AML, onboarding, Finance, and HR systems.
Oversee the selection and implementation of outsourced and in-house solutions, ensuring seamless integration.
Define and execute the technology operating model and roadmap in partnership with senior leadership.
Drive systems integration and data management, linking customer onboarding, compliance, and operational systems.
Establish programme governance, delivery tracking, and stakeholder management across the business.
Support the creation of shared services and scalable back-office capabilities to enable growth.
Experience Required
Extensive programme or delivery management experience within retail or challenger banking environments.
Proven experience in building or scaling banking technology platforms (from early-stage or start-up to operational maturity).
Strong understanding of core banking systems, loans, credit cards, payments, and customer onboarding.
Background in systems integration, particularly across CRM, KYC/AML, data, and operational systems.
Track record of working in unstructured, fast-moving organisations, implementing process and control.
Experience managing third-party vendors and outsourced systems (Finance, HR, deposit platforms, etc.).
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging at all organisational levels.
Profile
Hands-on delivery leader - capable of combining strategy with practical programme execution.
Experienced in smaller banks or financial institutions, ideally with a "big fish in a small pond" mentality. Monzo, Metro etc.
Adept at bringing order and delivery focus to early-stage or transformation environments.
Available immediately or at short notice.
London-based, with flexibility to be onsite 2-3 days per week in Blackfriars.
