Senior Product Area Manager
Location: West London | Working Pattern: 3 Days a week on-site | Rate: £700-800 per day
We're looking for a Senior Product Area Manager to lead a strategic portfolio of products focused on transforming operational decision-making through data, optimisation and AI. This is a high-impact leadership role, combining product strategy, business transformation and people leadership to deliver measurable operational, customer and commercial outcomes.
You'll take ownership of a product domain, defining its long-term vision and ensuring investment is focused on the highest-value opportunities. Working across business, product, engineering and data teams, you'll help shape how complex operational challenges are solved through scalable digital solutions.

- Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the strategic vision, roadmap and priorities for a portfolio of products
- Lead portfolio planning, investment decisions, governance, risk management and value tracking
- Develop business cases and secure support for new product initiatives and scaling opportunities
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Translate complex operational challenges into innovative digital solutions
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across product, change, business analysis, engineering and data functions
- Drive adoption of products and ensure solutions are embedded into operational processes
- Establish performance metrics and track value creation to inform future investment decisions
Requirements
- Proven experience leading portfolios of products, programmes or transformation initiatives with measurable business impact
- Strong background delivering strategy through to implementation and continuous improvement
- Experience operating in complex, fast-paced environments where decisions impact customers, operations or commercial performance
- Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams of 10+ people
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior leadership audiences
- Commercially minded with the ability to prioritise based on value, evidence and strategic outcomes
- Strong communication, problem-solving and influencing skills
Desirable Experience
- Background within operationally intensive industries such as aviation, transport, logistics, retail, utilities or supply chain
- Experience working alongside software engineering, data science or AI teams
- Knowledge of optimisation, automation or operational decision-support technologies
- Exposure to large-scale business transformation or digital change programmes
