Lead Data Analyst - Power BI / SQL Server
Contract | 6 Months | Outside IR35 | Competitive Day Rate | Hybrid
We are seeking a Lead Data Analyst with strong Power BI and SQL Server experience to support strategic reporting and insight across the business.
This role combines hands-on analytics delivery with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring and coaching analysts while setting reporting and data standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver reporting solutions using Power BI
- Develop robust data models and dashboards for senior stakeholders
- Write and optimise SQL Server queries for analysis and reporting
- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable insights
- Set best practices for analytics and reporting
- Mentor and guide analysts while remaining delivery-focused
Essential Skills & Experience
- Advanced Power BI experience (including DAX and data modelling)
- Strong SQL Server skills
- Experience working with multiple data sources
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience operating in a lead or senior analyst capacity
